Arriving by train

Tangier's main station is Tanger Ville. It hosts the Al Boraq high-speed train — Africa's first TGV. Typical connections from the rest of Morocco: • Casablanca → Tanger Ville on Al Boraq (around 2h depending on the service). • Rabat → Tanger Ville on Al Boraq (around 1h20). • Regular services also from Kenitra, Fes and Marrakech (often with a transfer). Schedules and prices change regularly. Always check the official ONCF website before travelling. On arrival at Tanger Ville: • Petit taxi (blue) to the medina, Corniche, Marina or your hotel — say your destination clearly and ask for the meter or agree on a price first. • Some nearby areas are walkable, but Tangier is hilly: with luggage, a taxi is easier. • Use Google Maps to gauge distance, or ask Luna for directions from the station.
