From 18 to 20 September 2026, the 23rd Tanjazz takes over the Palais des Institutions Italiennes and the Palais des Arts et de la Culture, with Rodrigo y Gabriela and Diego El Cigala already announced.

Tanjazz, Tangier's jazz festival, returns for its 23rd edition from 18 to 20 September 2026. The festival announces two venues for this edition: the Palais des Institutions Italiennes and the Palais des Arts et de la Culture.

The first names have been published on the official site: Grammy-winning Mexican duo Rodrigo y Gabriela on 18 September 2026 on the Scène Jardin, and flamenco cantaor Diego El Cigala, a six-time Latin Grammy winner, on 19 September 2026 on the same stage with his “20 años de Lágrimas” tour.

More announcements are expected: the organisers say the full line-up will be revealed progressively. We only publish here what appears on the official website.

September is one of the best times to visit Tangier: the sea is still warm, the light is soft and evenings are pleasant. Book accommodation early — the Tanjazz weekend is one of the busiest of the year.

How to get there

In town, a petit taxi (blue, on the meter) is simplest. For sites outside the centre such as Cap Spartel, take a grand taxi and agree the price before leaving.
